It was a very sticky 40 degrees in Broke, Hunter Valley, for this gorgeous wedding. I promised Merissa and Ian, that the humidity and heat were being well compensated by the dramatic skies that were going to enhance their photos. I think you will agree!
In fact, looking back on the photos, we can’t even see a drop of perspiration, even though at the time we were all drowning in it!
Merissa didn’t want to be traditional and carry flowers for the day, instead, she wore a beautiful flower shoulder piece (stunning and so original!) and the girls wore flowers on their wrists.
A very organised Bride, Merissa supplied paper fans for all her guest. A great idea that I highly recommend for summer weddings in the Hunter Valley. Your family and friends will love you for it! They really help keep people sane and comfortable when it’s so humid, and the Hunter is particularly hot and humid in Feb/March.
The Barrel Room at Margan Estate was an oasis from the heat – dark and cool, with crisp white wine and champagne flowing steadily. The room soon developed an electric atmosphere, with some very funny speeches, followed by the the groovy ‘Martini Club’, who managed to gather a strong dance floor from the moment they made a sound.
Hey Nat, the photo’s look amazing. Thankyou for putting up with the heat!! We just got back from our honeymoon & had a fantastic time. We will see you very soon.
Much love to both of you from us. (About time.)
Love the photos
WOW Merissa – you look like you should be in Vogue Magazine!
