Caves Beach Resort is fast becoming a popular wedding venue. I photographed the venues very first wedding over a year ago.Back there a year later and the changes are impressive. The villas have been finished and offered a modern backdrop for the boys, and this mixed with Erica’s gorgeous vintage dress and her parents stunning home, made for a wonderful contrast of something old and something new!
The beach gave us a the perfect sky for location and it seemed to change with every shot! The pastel beach landscape worked beautifully with Erica’s creamy complexion and the girls soft grey dresses. But as with all Autumn weddings the light quality, although amazing wasn’t going to hang around for long.
The reception just buzzed, the atmosphere was simple and elegant. There was a wonderful historical touch as Erica had framed her families past wedding photos and scattered them throughout the room, definitely a great talking point for the guests and added a wonderful status to the event.
It’s amazing to see how wedding photography has changed over the years but at the same time how things come round again (vintage weddings and B&W) … one thing that hasn’t changed however is the importance of wedding photography and the passing down through the generations of having those special moments.
