It was back to Northern Beaches for the wedding of Antony and Cassie which always feels like heading home as that’s where I spent my time growing up. This day was special for me, not only because of the location but because there were so many familiar faces both in the bridal party and amongst the guests and families.
The day itself was just perfect, once Antony (not known for his punctuality) actually arrived to get ready with his groomsmen. The guys, all great and long time mates were keen for a laugh and joke which was just perfect for Antony’s nerves and my photography. I loved the addition of the hats, what a great look.
The girls were all glamour and Cassie a natural in front of the camera. I was happily and easily grabbing all the required shots without a care until all the kids arrived – suddenly it was pandemonium and I was in the thick of the action trying to organise a few great shots of the kids.
The outdoor ceremony on the shores of Pittwater at Palm Beach was was just superb – the setting was blue cloudless skies, still blue water, a distant background of natural bushland and surrounded by gorgeous family and friends. Following champagne and canapés it was off to the the local jetty and beach for some photos before a reception at the Terrace restaurant at Newport where I was witness to the best bridal party entry I have ever seen.
A great day, a great night… congratulations and see you both soon.
