I am 100% confident in our ability to provide great photos no matter what. How? Because I have been photographing weddings for over ten years and all of us at Impact work so hard to be the best we can. I am the only Master Photographer (M.Photog) on the Central Coast, Natalie, Ash and I are all members of the AIPP, which is the only recognised professional photography association in Australia. Andrew - Let's cut to the chase - you're a legendary photographer.
On the day, you made the location photography a fun part of our wedding day rather than the tiresome intrusion it could so easily have been, and your willingness to "run with it" when we were asking you to climb through fences etc. was appreciated. Later, when we saw the proofs, we were struck by what good photographs they were - all of them!! We are in awe......
What really blew us away was the number of times we would look at a photograph of the ceremony, or people on the beach, or the reception and think "Man, when did he take that? I didn't even know he was there!" Don't take this the wrong way - you're a good guy, and it's not like we didn't want you there - but such invisibility must be like the Holy Grail of anyone taking photographs at a function like a wedding, and apparently you had it nailed. It was clear in many of the images that you captured that people (us included) were not conscious of the fact that they were being photographed and the result was exactly the kind of natural and relaxed record of the day that we had hoped for.
We loved our wedding, you have provided us with a record of that day that expresses all the features of the day that we enjoyed so much, to the extent that we really can invoke the emotion and experience in our minds just by looking through your photographs. The effort we go to doesn't stop after you book us for your photography. On your wedding day make certain we are prepared for any eventuality? Here's what I pack:
- Spare everything - camera, lenses, flashes, batteries
- Umbrellas for the whole bridal party in case of wet weather
- Lighting equipment for all sorts of bad conditions
- A bridal first aid kit including; needle and thread, safety pins, panadol, mints, wipes, insect repellent and a crochet hook for those difficult dresses that are impossible to lace up with nails
We will slow down and notice the details - we will capture all those little things that you have invested thought, time and money into. We'll create the look you are after and capture the fun, the candid moments, the emotion and we'll direct you to get those high fashion images, that beautiful light and the amazing scenery.
What Happens After Your Wedding?
While on your honeymoon, celebrating the start of a new chapter in your life and the most amazing day, we'll be hard at work preparing everything for your return.
We'll back up all your image files twice, one copy to be kept on site and another off-site incase something unforeseen happens to the studio. Once the back ups are made, we begin the editing process which is carried out by two different staff for the first and second run edit to be certain nothing is missed.
Following the edit, all of your images will be enhanced with a specially designed piece of software, unique to our studios, that will have your images individually colour, contrast and exposure corrected. This process is one of a kind developed by an internationally recognised graphic design instructor based in the UK and then modified solely for our studio. It means you can leave our studio with your disc of high resolution, ready to print images and head directly to any photo lab to order prints.
YES, YOU DO GET YOUR HIGH RESOLUTION READY TO PRINT FILES WITH EVERY WEDDING WE PHOTOGRAPH.
After your disc is completed, we'll create another backup in case you lose or damage yours. Finally, we'll be ready for you to collect your photos, order your proof book, wall prints or start on your album design depending on what you want and we have some amazing designs and styles we can show you.
What To Do Now
Call one of our studios and book a consultation to discuss your wedding photography if we are still available on your date. Remember, most couples will book their photographer up to 12 months out from their wedding. If you want to be assured of having the photographer you want, you must book early to avoid disappointment.
If you want to compare our studio with anyone else and I'd encourage you to, go and see one, two or three different photographers if you prefer, but make sure you at least compare them to us.
