This is a tough shoot to categorise as Tara and Jo are actually a couple and are engaged to be married in 2012 so I guess it was an e-session but it doubled as a shoot for Kelly from Kel-Leigh Couture to photograph a couple of her new gowns. I also had the chance to be very selfish and choose the location and style of images to shoot – basically a bit of a play with some new equipment before bringing it out at a real wedding.
So, wedding, e-session, model portfolio, selfish photographer… you be the judge.
One thing though, if you are planning your wedding, you have to absolutely consider autumn or winter for the date. The colours are amazing, the cooler temperatures are just perfect when “dressed up” and you will also have a much higher chance of booking your preferred services providers in what is traditionally a quieter time of year for weddings.
One more thing – I have to say a special thanks to Tara for modelling. You’re a stunner, I love your tattoos and that you allowed me to highlight them instead of trying to hide them – which is usually the case when photographing a wedding. Jo, you weren’t half bad at this modelling gig either. Thanks guys.
Oops, dont want to forget to thank Jordi from Vibrant Concepts for her great work on hair and makeup. We all loved the look you created.
Finally, a special thanks to Shauna from Zanziba Cafe in Terrigal and West Gosford for use of her Vespa. I had a great time zipping to and from the shoot and think it helped to add another dimension to the photos. Thank you Shauna.
