With the album of Steven and Belinda so well received and
praised by Australian photographers we decided to enter our first ever international
awards - the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI) in Las
Vegas USA.
Much to our delight the album/coffee table book
was awarded an Accolade of Excellence in the album
competition.
It would have been great to be in Vegas to collect
the award - maybe next year if I can convince Linda. |

With such a hectic year to date and plans to open a second studio, we didn’t actually design an album for the awards, instead we asked Malini and Paul if we could submit their album into the competition this year.
The beautiful difference to their album is there are not one but two.
Malini and Paul celebrated their wedding with both Hindu and Catholic ceremonies two days apart - and to capture the beauty of both - Malini decided on two albums and pressured Andrew from the first meeting that she wanted an award winning album like her friends’ Achira from 2005.
We did our very best and came up with two fantastic albums that are both unique and still fit together.
The result was a second place at the awards and a very happy couple. |

We have done it again! Best wedding album for NSW as voted by the industries leading photographers.
Of any awards this is the most prestigious and coveted by our studio as it is a reflection of our work as a whole.
While the print awards are special, it is easier to come up with a ‘glory’ shot or two, but to have an album judged as the best is a true reflection of the quality of our imagery, design and album assembly.
This award is only possible because of the awesome design and colour work by Krystal and Simone in the studio.
Their vision of a finished album from a selection of images is always truly amazing.

'Strut Your Stuff' is the name of the competition where any
professional photographer is able to present an audio visual of their
images to be judged against other studios. 2006 was the first year
that we have entered the competition and we were able to take it out.
Most studios presented their images to slow songs and slow
transitions while we went for a faster song (Are You Gonna Be My Girl
by Jet) with snappy transitions that had every one tapping their
feet. With over 200 hundred images from weddings over the last year
the A.V. was full of colour and flair and gave a good indication of
the type of photography we provide for our clients.
A special thank
you to Paul Hart from Classic Shot Videos for all his expertise in
putting together the A.V. - we couldn't have been so successful
without his help.
We now show the A.V. to all new enquiries, but feel free to drop in
and have a look if you are passing by. |

Impact
Images recently took out runner up wedding
album of the year against over 40 of the
states
leading
wedding photographers. This year’s
entry was an exact
copy of our clients album - which is testimony
to the quality
and
consistency of our design team and photographers.
The
album was that of Sydney couple Achira and
Darryl Wiese,
who held their ceremony and reception on
the
grounds of Wandin Valley Estate at Lovedale
in the beautiful
Hunter Valley.
If you would like to see the
complete album which is on display
at our Erina Heights Studio, or to discuss
your wedding
photography, please don’t hesitate
to call and make an appointment on the numbers listed

One of the most coveted and prestigious awards
amongst the States wedding photographers was
taken out by Impact Images in September 2004.
Judged by the industries leading professionals
and soon to be married couples, the contemporary
album submitted by our Studio was judged a clear
winner with the next closest album a massive
30 votes behind.
The album was that of Central Coast couple Paul
and Julie Wilson whose love for each other and
their unique sense of style shone through in
the images.
Featuring the very latest in cover designs and
metallic papers, the album truly is a work of
art and stood well above anything else submitted
in the awards, including those from Sydney’s
leading photographers. |

In March 2004 the Australian Institute of Professional
Photographers (AIPP) held their annual awards,
and Central Coast photographer Andrew Hellmich
was awarded five silver awards in the wedding
category.
Andrew's high standard of prints that were judged
on composition, style, print quality, lighting,
imagination and impact were enough to nudge out
over 80 other photographers to be awarded runner
up, NSW Wedding Photographer of the Year. |
