I don’t have a degree in anything, there is no Bachelor of Arts lurking in my resume. In fact, back in my day, I was probably best described as a high school dropout.
But what I lack in formal education, I more than make up for in the “school of life.” I came to Australia almost 30 years ago with my husband and made a whole new life. I love living in Australia and think the Central Coast has some of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen.
My working life has been varied to say the least, everything from doing rego inspections in my teens to purchasing and supply in my 20′s and 30′s. I’ve always returned to Sales. I love the challenge and the flexibility. In between raising two talented and beautiful children, I’ve found time to travel – snorkelling off the Great Barrier Reef was the most beautiful, riding an elephant in Thailand the most exotic and skydiving at 10,000 feet over the Hunter Valley, the most exciting.
There aren’t too many men who want their mother-in-law at work, so I feel blessed that Andrew values my work at the Studio.
I love seeing a family’s reaction when they come in to view their photos. Andrew and Ash seem to capture the most beautiful and intimate moments, whether it’s the awe of a first time mum with her newborn child or giggling children oblivious of their adoring parents looking on with such love and pride. They will never have that moment again.
I enjoy helping families choose their favourite images. I like to tell them, “choose something that will make you smile or move you, every time you look at it on your wall.” Time passes quickly and children are all grown up before you know it.
It saddens me when people put off having photos taken – until….. until never comes and the moment is lost.
We never remember full days, we only remember moments and for me personally, my walls are full of moments that I would not have missed for the world….
