Wedding: Josh & Kate

It was like a Summer’s day in Spring and as you can see from Noah’s Hotel room, everyone was enjoying the beach weather.

Josh and Kate have been together for a while now and already have their beautiful daughter, Sienna which made their wedding really from the heart; sincere and honest. Sienna played a big part in the day and the wedding was about the three of them, as a family.

A Very Romantic Afternoon in the Hunter

Getting the call up to photograph another photographers wedding is reason for feelings of both satisfaction and nervousness. Satisfaction because they have chosen you amongst all the other photographers they know and nervousness because there are going to be expectations and I don’t want to disappoint.

Wedding: Lisa & Rob

I’m running between shoots but just had to add a couple of photos from Lisa and Rob’s amazing day in the Hunter earlier this week. I have to add them because it was truly a beautiful day and because Lisa is desperate to see something – being a photographer and all.

Wedding: Jenah & Phil

As a photographer it is always exciting to travel somewhere new for a wedding and last weekend it was off to Coonamble, about 150km north west of Dubbo for a country wedding. There is something special about country people that often has me thinking it would be great to have spent some time out here growing up.

His Rant, My Reply and the Truth of the Matter

Below is a response to my post last week which seemed to upset some photographers and be applauded by others. One photographer, Gordon form Flash Gordon Photography felt I was so far off the mark that he posted a long response on his site describing my post as an infomercial. I feel that Gordon is way off track with his rant and added my replies to his remarks below.

Wedding: Emma & Paul

The perfect country wedding! When we drove into Paterson that morning there was a pink mist that lingered over the Tocal Homestead, it was beautiful, I had forgotten how gorgeous the country could be. I knew there was a possibility of some rain but it was perfect photography light.

Coping With A Summer Stinker – on your wedding day.

With so many couples electing to have their weddings in the warmer months, it really is a gamble to get a day with comfortable temperatures for everyone and it’s the humidity that’s the killer. Without our inherent humidity, things wouldn’t be too bad even for the guys in their suits on the warmest of days. It is the humidity though that makes some days a real struggle – and the fact is, humid days are the norm in our region. So, how do you prepare for a stinker of a day?

Wedding: Lauren & Matt

This was one very cool wedding to photograph that featured some beautiful locations, two super families, a rockin’ reception, tears, laughter and a couple that looked simply ‘right’ together. Instead of me going on and on, I decided to ask Lauren to give some details about her amazing day. So, in her words and my images, enjoy the blog post.

Commercial: Jo’s Award Images

Last week I had the opportunity to photograph one of the country’s leading young business women and she’s based right here on the Coast – Jo Heighway, a chartered accountant and super fund auditor at SMSF Outsource Solutions. The photography was to a strict brief for an upcoming award of which Jo is a major finalist  and had to show her in a professional environment and be more than a ‘simple’ head shot.

Newcastle Babies and Kids

Impact Images Newcastle is running a special offer with BUBs baby store at the Rutherford Super Centre – spend in store to receive a photography gift certificate.

The certificate entitles you to a photo session for your precious little ones or the whole family, plus a professionally printed enlargement. We have been overwhelmed by the response and its wonderful to be meeting so many local families.

Portrait: The Patterson’s

A good mate of mine, Troy, had only ever had his children photographed by shopping centre studios and when he mentioned that Jill was keen to get some photos of their youngest daughter, Mena, and was looking at the the same style of photography they had experienced in the past I twisted their arm into trying something different with me this time round.
